Course History

When the Duke's Course first opened in July 1976, the club operated from a temporary clubhouse, a log cabin situated behind today's 16th green which was played as the 18th.

When the Duke's Course staged the British Masters and the Women's British Open the normal 1st hole was played as the 18th and in 1985 Lee Trevino struck a superb 3 wood to within 18" for an eagle to win the Dunhill British Masters.
